How do digital loyalty cards work for barbers and salons?
A barber or salon can offer a free cut after a set number of visits. The card stays on the phone between appointments. There is no app. Start includes 100 free stamps a month, then R1 per stamp, capped at R199. Shop is R199 a month or R1,990 a year.
What reward suits a barber or a salon?
A simple rule is a free haircut after five or six paid visits. A treatment after a number you choose also works. Write the reward so every chair gives the same thing. Colour, a beard trim or a product can be the reward if that is what you already promise. Each confirmed visit is one stamp.
Why keep the card on the phone between visits?
Haircuts are not a daily habit, so a paper card sits in a jacket and goes missing. A wallet card is on the phone the customer brings to the chair. They can see how many visits are left without asking the front desk. When you change the reward, you edit it once.
What does the team do at the chair?
Ask for the mobile number or scan the wallet card at the start or the end of the appointment. Tap Stamp on the phone you already use. Owners set the reward. Anyone on the till login can confirm a visit and cannot stamp their own card. One QR code at the mirror or the desk is enough.
What else do these shops ask?
Do clients need an app?
No. The card is added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Clients do not install an XEQT app. They show the phone at the next appointment.
Does the reward depend on the bill?
No. The live programme stamps a visit. It does not keep a points balance and it does not pay points per rand. If you want a free cut after six visits, set that number.
How much does a barber shop pay?
Start includes 100 free stamps a month, then R1 per stamp, capped at R199. Shop is R199 a month or R1,990 a year. New shops can try Shop for 30 days with no card. Billing is in rand.
Can the card use my shop's colours?
Yes. The card shows your logo, your colours, your name and the reward. Clients see your shop. XEQT is only a small Powered by line.
