How do digital loyalty cards work for a restaurant?
A restaurant can reward a set number of visits, such as a free dessert. Each visit is one stamp. This is not a points programme. There is no app. Start includes 100 free stamps a month, then R1 per stamp, capped at R199. Shop is R199 a month or R1,990 a year.
What reward suits a restaurant?
Pick one reward you can keep on a busy night, such as a free dessert after eight visits or a main after ten. Put that promise on the card in plain words. Staff should not have to invent the offer at the pass. You can change it later without reprinting. XEQT Loyalty is not a lucky draw.
Do staff stamp at the table or the till?
Staff confirm the visit on a phone at the till when the table pays. They scan the guest's code or type the mobile number and tap Stamp. A waiter can use the same screen. You do not need a device at every table. Guests scan a QR code on the bill folder or by the till and add the card.
Is this a points programme?
No. XEQT Loyalty stamps visits. It does not add points for every rand spent and it does not show a points balance on the card. A guest either has another stamp or they have earned the reward you named. That keeps the rule easy to explain at the table.
What else do these shops ask?
Do guests need an app?
No. Guests save the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. They do not download an XEQT app. The phone they used to book or to pay is enough.
Does every dish earn a stamp?
No. One confirmed visit is one stamp, not one stamp per plate. You choose how many visits earn the reward. A large table is still one visit unless your own rule says otherwise.
How much does a restaurant pay?
Start includes 100 free stamps a month, then R1 per stamp, capped at R199. Shop is R199 a month or R1,990 a year. There is no fee per reward. A yearly plan is refunded in full within 30 days and not after that.
Can I run a prize draw on the card?
No. The programme is a fixed number of verified visits for a described reward. It is not a lucky draw. Do not use it to run a promotional competition.
